Abel was Cain's and Seth's brother. He offered the fattest of his animals to God. He was killed by Cain, his brother. His father was Adam and his mother was Eve.

Abel was the second son of Adam and Eve. He kept flocks, and when he offered an offering to the Lord, he brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. Cain also gave an offering, but he gave some of the fruit of the soil as an offering. The Lord was pleased with Abel's offering but not with Cain's. Cain became angry and killed his brother in the field.
